  报告人简介: 

    Mr. Shimai’s major are high purity advanced ceramics include translucent alumina, large size ceramics, high strength porous ceramics and novel ceramics processing. 

    

  In 1946,2,22   Born at Shibata city in Niigata prefecture.  

  In 1969       Graduated in applied chemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology. 

  In 1969       Entered Toshiba Ceramics Company Limited and assigned to technical division, then started development of translucent alumina ceramics.   

  In 1976       Succeeded for mass production of translucent alumina tubes for lighting application with designing of DIP molds, sintering technology and chemical polishing. 

  In 1986       Moved to research center in Hadano city. Engaged in development for cellular ceramics and asymmetric ceramic filter. 

  In 1993       Got technology award from Japan Ceramic Society (development of ultra large translucent tubes) 

  Dispatched by JICA to Brazil as an expert. 

  In 2000       Returned to Hadano research center from Toshiba Monofrax Company and engaged in practical applications of porous ceramics. 

  In 2001       Became the chief of Chinese affairs group.       

  In 2003       Carried out a part timer teacher in Yokohama national university. 

  In 2003       Retired from Toshiba Ceramics Company Limited and took post in Qinghai university as a professor. 

  In 2003       Became a guest professor of SICCAS and Qinghua university. 

  From 2003     Hydroxyapatite porous ceramics developed from SS were sold from Toshiba Ceramics Company Limited as implant materials in human body. 

  In 2004       Developed large SiC ceramic filter in Qinghai for dust collector from electric power station.  

  In 2005       Got Friendship Award from State Administration of Foreign Affairs of the P.R.C. 

  In 2008       Started new facility in Korea to produce large alumina ceramics and high purity yittria ceramics for semiconductor fabrication. 

  In 2011       Discovered new spontaneous gelcasting for ceramic forming. 

  In 2013       Entered Tokyo agriculture and technology university as doctor course.
