   Abstract:   

  Holographic femtosecond laser processing has the advantages of high throughout and high light-use efficiency of a pulse energy by shaping the pulse into an arbitrary optical intensity pattern using a computer-generated hologram (CGH) displayed on a spatial light modulator (SLM). In holographic femtosecond laser processing, precise control of the diffraction peaks generated from the CGH is important in fabricating an enormous number of nanometer-scale structures simultaneously, because the structures strongly depend on a pulse energy close to the threshold. Recently, we developed parallel femtosecond laser processing with vector-wave control that is based on polarization control using a pair of spatial light modulators for further increase of the processing capability.
