An overview of National and European science funding opportunities for international graduates will be presented with particular emphasis on the current postgraduate application process for the School of Physics & Chemistry in Trinity College Dublin. Specific opportunities for Irish and European postdoctoral funding will also be presented.

Trinity College provides a stimulating environment where independence of thought is highly valued. The Schools of Physics and Chemistry are key examples of the multidisciplinary research and teaching at Trinity College, both School’s being highly research active across a number of scientific discipline. The Schools are located in the heart of the city-centre campus with research staff embedded in centres of excellence such as Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute and Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices (CRANN). Trinity’s strong international research community delivers high impact research, with expertise across multiple fields including material science, astrophysics and solar weather physics, magnetism, photonics, computational chemistry and physics, organic, supramolecular & medicinal chemistry, energy science and electrochemistry.
